DevOps Engineer

Job Description
Tapaas is the leading risk management provider to the retail FX/CFD broking industry, delivering comprehensive real-time risk monitoring and trader surveillance solutions. We use the same underlying technologies as top-tier banks to process complex risk metrics in real time, giving brokers actionable insights and enabling both automated and manual responses to risk scenarios.
 
We are seeking an experienced and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our growing company. You will help ensure our environments remain scalable, secure, and highly resilient while driving automation, improving operational processes, and resolving production issues.

 
Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain AWS network infrastructure supporting our applications.

  • Maintain Ubuntu and Windows server environments.

  • Set up and maintain automated tools and infrastructure for backups, deployments, monitoring, and operations.

  • Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

  • Collaborate with developers to automate and improve monitoring and alerting.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, core network, system, and performance issues.

  • Monitor performance, usage and reliability of systems and infrastructure.

  • Recommend process improvements to ensure scalability and reliability.

  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect systems from cybersecurity threats.

  • Involved in the coordination and planning of BCP and DR tests.

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

  • 3+ years industry experience in a DevOps or related engineering role.

  • Strong experience managing AWS environments in production.

  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows server administration.

  • Solid Bash and Python scripting skills.

  • Experience with automation/configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible).

  • Proficiency with Git and Git workflows.

  • Proficient in working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog) and incident management systems (e.g. PagerDuty).

  • Strong problem-solving attitude and troubleshooting skills across systems, networking, and applications.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

 
Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks or tools.

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 or similar security/compliance frameworks.

  • Experience in financial services or other finance-related domains.

We employ the same underlying technologies as the top tier banks to ensure that the platform can effectively manage complex risk metrics in real-time to deliver actionable insights and allow brokers to respond to various risk scenarios, either automatically or manually.
     
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full stack developer to join our team. This role will focus on developing integrations with various systems using Python and also help build dynamic user-friendly web applications using Vue.js. This role is ideal for a self-motivated developer who is able to work independently and is passionate about building efficient, scalable systems and user-friendly applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python.

    • Build integrations with third party applications.

    • Develop dynamic, user-friendly web applications using Vue.js.

    • Collaborate closely with team members to design solutions, and deliver new features.

    • Ensure software quality through testing and documentation.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
       

    Requirements

    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

    • 3+ years industry experience as a developer.

    • Strong Python skills. Experience with Pandas, NumPy, FastAPI.

    • Solid experience with frontend development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and Vue.js.

    • Proficient in working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

    • Demonstrated ability to write high quality, efficient, and maintainable code.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Comfortable working independently and within a collaborative team environment.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
       

    Desired Skills

    • Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.

    • Knowledge of C or C++.

    • Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

    • Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks or tools.

    • Experience with JIRA, GIT and Bitbucket.

    • Prior experience working in financial services or other finance domains.
